Summary: Anakin and Obi-Wan celebrate Anakin's sixteenth birthday.
Author's Notes: Hiatus drabble #4.
Anakin Skywalker couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. It was a rare expedition away from the Jedi Temple, one that did not involve a mission: Obi-Wan had taken him to a water park for his sixteenth birthday. Today he was not a Jedi Padawan; he was simply a teenager frolicking in the sun.
They had sampled all the water slides, surfed and splashed about in the artificial ocean, and drifted lazily down the river surrounding the park, their legs hooked over each other's inner tubes so they wouldn't be separated. Now, lounging beneath a striped beach umbrella, Anakin happily lapped at a chocolate ice cream cone. He watched his Master lick his own vanilla cone with deft swirls of his tongue. Chocolate dribbled down Anakin's chin; he barely felt it, so transfixed was he on his Master's mouth.
Obi-Wan noticed. With a wicked glimmer in his eye, he leaned over to offer the service of that exquisite tongue in lieu of a napkin. Anakin dared not move as Obi-Wan traced the path of ice cream up to his lips. Now that he was sixteen, would his Master finally deem him old enough to...
A soft moan escaped him as he thrust his tongue out to meet Obi-Wan's. His senses exploded as he drew his Master's sun-kissed body against his own, ice cream be damned.
"Anakin, what in the blazes is wrong with you?"
The teenager suddenly became aware of the ice cream dripping down his arm. Anakin had gripped the cone hard enough to crack it, and its creamy contents oozed everywhere. He was a sticky mess, with Obi-Wan's tongue nowhere near him. In fact, the look in his Master's eyes was decidedly more bewildered than wicked or lustful. Anakin clumsily dabbed at his arm with a towel and Obi-Wan snickered at him, now looking quite thoroughly amused.
So the day actually could have been more perfect, as illustrated by his little fantasy, but Anakin had no cause to complain. Bringing a smile to Obi-Wan's handsome, overly-serious face was definitely worth a little embarrassment. Besides, the day wasn't over yet, and the night had yet to begin.
